Closed for repairs: Barbara Slavik, education director for the Port Angeles Fine Arts Center, points out damage Thursday to the upended art piece “Water Shed,” made from recycled plastic bottles by Port Townsend, Wash., artist Karen Hackenberg. Vandals damaged or destroyed at least 35 art installations at the art center’s Webster’s Woods outdoor art park on Wednesday night or early Thursday morning, forcing closure of the popular park until further notice. Some works are damaged beyond repair and the loss could exceed $10,000.
