Ivan Brooks, 55, tucks his Christmas present into his jacket as he chats with diners before he leaves a holiday meal at Mid-City Concerns on Christmas. Brooks was walking earlier in the day in the downtown area when people in a van stopped and offered him the gift. Brooks said it was a warm shirt. Volunteers prepared some 400 meals for the event that was open to everyone.
