Spokane City Lines. These pictures show some of the property of Spokane City Lines which the city would acquire if voters approve a $1,700,000 bond issue in the November 28 special election. Top: part of main building and yards at W1229 Boone, with fuel pump "island" and water tank for fire protection. The east section of the building, shown here, was added by the company after it purchased the transit system from the Washington Water Power company in 1945. Bottom: Inside the east garage where busses are washed and stored. A $20,000 mechanical washing machine is at right center. Servicing pits are in a third garage bay. Photo 11/19/1955. City Lines.
