The Washington East Soccer Club and Seely Soccer Academy is pleased to announce that the boys Under-14 team advanced through state competitions in May to represent Washington state in June at the U.S. Youth Soccer Region IV Far West Presidents Cup in Arvada, Colo. After playing six state champions from the Western states, the team went undefeated and was crowned regional champion. Washington East will represent Washington State and the rest of the Western U.S. at nationals this month. They will be one of four teams competing for the national championship in Sacramento, Calif. Team members and their hometowns are: Cole Anderson, Cheney; Ethan Arpin, Spokane Valley; Braiden Coston, Spokane; Alex Foust, Mead; Austin Garitone, Rathdrum; Joseph Gresch, Otis Orchards; Tristan Gresch, Otis Orchards; Kelby Holland, Cheney; Eric Hollenbaugh, Spokane; Chase Howat. Spokane Valley; Josh Ilenstine, Greenacres; Chris Lucas, Spokane Valley; Tristin Payne, Spokane Valley; Noah Prophet, Cheney; Justen Sather, Spokane Valley; Tor Saunders, Snohomish; Tyler Smith, Mead; and Noah Whitman, Spokane Valley. The team is coached by Timothy Seely.
