Driver taken to hospital: Spokane police gather information at the scene of a single-car accident Monday at Cataldo Avenue and Hamilton Street. The driver lost control of her Mitsubishi Montero in the northbound lane and sheared a utility pole. Emergency crews were delayed in extricating the driver because of downed power lines. She was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
