Somber farewell: Washington State Patrol troopers fold a flag that was draped over slain Trooper Tony Radulescu’s casket at his funeral on Thursday in Kent, Wash. Radulescu, a 16-year veteran, was shot on Feb. 23 near Gorst, Wash., by a driver, who later took his own life. Six people have been charged with rendering criminal assistance. Gov. Chris Gregoire said she considered the 44-year-old Radulescu as “one of my own,” noting that he had served on one of her security details. “Tony gave his life, protecting you, protecting me, protecting every Washingtonian,” she said. Thousands attended the service.
