Archie's (now-closed) Yukon Inn. This was the only place on the trail between McGrath and Safety to get a beer, a distance of about 700 miles, and the cheeseburgers were great, too. The villages along the coast are all 'dry'. It was always fun to walk into Archie's and, when asked where you are headed, you said to Nome. That got everyone's attention!
