The chase is on: The Spokane At Its Best balloon, with owner and pilot Forey Walter in the basket, lifts off Saturday in Walla Walla. Walter’s balloon was the first to launch as the “Hare” in the yearly “Hare and Hound” competition during Walla Walla’s annual Balloon Stampede. Thirty-three balloons launched in the daybreak event during the 38th running of the Stampede.
