Taking a stand: Animal activists demonstrate against the sale and purchase of fur products in front of a Nordstrom’s store in Seattle on Friday. “Fur-Free Friday” is called by activists as the largest annual national day of protest against the sale of animal fur. The Action for Animals group says Nordstrom continues to sell the fur of animals who have been killed by such methods as drowning, poisoning, strangulation, genital electrocution, and being trapped or beaten to death.
