Game plan: Jed Vick, right, tells his wife, Desiree, that he wants a 10-second head start, as the pair clown around in costume before the start of the fourth annual Monster Dash 5k and Kids Fun Run on Sunday at Manito Park in Spokane. The Spokane Valley couple won first place in the costume contest dressed as hunter and prey and were among 500 participants in the event that raised money for Active4Youth. The organization brings awareness to childhood obesity and juvenile delinquency through their Spokane Public Schools after-school cross country sports programs.
