Ann Zehm pauses to reflect on her son's memorial after a plaque dedication ceremony, Oct. 31, 2012 in Mission Park. The city memorial was part of a civil settlement with family members of Zehm, who was beaten, shocked with Tasers and hogtied by Spokane police after being mistakenly implicated in a possible theft. He died two days later without regaining consciousness.
