Virgin Galactic’s SpaceShipTwo flies under rocket power in its first flight since the program began in 2005. The spacecraft was dropped from its “mother ship,” WhiteKnightTwo, over Mojave, Calif., on Monday. Virgin Galactic intends to take passengers on suborbital joyrides.
