Faye and Bill Asseln laugh when talking about how, early in their courtship, Max, the dog, pictured right, would bark over the phone when Bill would call Faye long distance. Bill said that’s how he knew the mailman was at the door. Faye and Bill went to high school together in Anacortes, Wash. Faye admits to having a crush on him at the time, but they never dated. Last September, they attended their 55th high school reunion and sparks flew. The couple were married May 11.
