Character study: “Clowns can be scary,” said Shawn Byers, 9, of Coeur d’Alene, as he painted his face Tuesday during “clowning around” performing arts class at Hayden Meadows Elementary in Hayden. The class is part of Art on the Green’s Art Shop 2013. The students will perform at Art on the Green at noon Friday.
