After completing his 500-mile bike ride, Chris Desborough hugs District 8, Station 84 paramedic Amanda Austin who helped resuscitate him after he had a massive heart attack in 2010. He now has a defibrillator and pacemaker implanted in his chest. Desborough completed a 500 mile bike ride June 5, 2013, to raise money that he plans to donate to the district as a way of saying thank you.
