Chilly dip: With morning temperatures hovering in the mid-50s, Makayla Simon, 11, and her city of Spokane Parks and Recreation Aquaducks swim team practice the backstroke in a steaming Comstock Park Aquatic Center on Wednesday. The novice team includes children ages 6 and older and has 60 participants. Witter and Shadle Park aquatic centers also offer swim teams.
