Peggy Eddington-Smith, 69, of Dayton, Nev., receives a flag in honor of her father, Pfc. John Eddington, of Leadwood, Mo., on Saturday. Eddington died in World War II, three weeks after her birth. Eddington’s personal items were discovered by Donna Gregory, of St. Louis, who traveled across the country to hand-deliver them.
