Jonah Bates and his mother, Tabby, of Spokane, planted 30 Ponderosa pine seedlings Saturday at the Parksmith Road interchange on the North Spokane Corridor. Spokane Ponderosa, the state Department of Transportation and the Inland Northwest Boy Scout Council partnered to plant some 4,200 seedlings at the yellow markers.
