The list: Great light – check. Really fast shutter speed – check. Sharp focus – check. Eagle showing off its face instead of its tail feathers – check. Photographer finally not choking and freaking out at the sight of an approaching bald eagle in his viewfinder – check. After many years of trying, it all came together on this series of shots at Wolf Lodge Bay on Lake Coeur d’Alene.
