Josh Rindal of Spokane, right, and Bob Jones of Kettle Falls, pose with a sign they put up to mark Rainy Pass the highest point on the Iditarod Trail while snowmobiling the 1,400-mile route of Alaska’s famous Iditarod Sled Dog Race in March 2014. They also flagrantly revealed themselves as Seattle Seahawks fans with a flag they attached to the sign. Jones first installed the sign in 2007 on one of his 20 trips along the trail. In 2014, they bolted in a new base to make it more secure.
