Snowmobiler Josh Rindal of Spokane comes by the Safety Roadhouse on the Iditarod Trail south from Nome. "The photo doesn't do the conditions justice!" said Bob Jones of Kettle Falls. "We were in a near-total whiteout on the ground and the winds were blowing snow down the beach." Rindal and Jones of Kettle Falls were snowmobiling 1,400-miles along the route of Alaska's famous Iditarod Sled Dog Race in March 2014.
