Josh Rindal of Spoake snowmobiles the Iditarod Trail 15 miles north of Unalakleet. A small river looked like it had seriously overflowed in this area, and the trail was routed upstream far enough to find a solid ice bridge. Blocks of ice like the one Josh and his machine is one were everywhere in the little valley. Rindal and Bob Jones of Kettle Falls were snowmobiling 1,400-miles along the route of Alaska’s famous Iditarod Sled Dog Race in March 2014.
