Thomas McTevia, a member of the Coeur d’Alene Pedestrian and Bicycle Advisory Committee, was killed Sunday in an ATV accident on the south end of Lake Pend Oreille. McTevia, a former police officer who was paralyzed in a 2004 four-wheeler accident, helped guide a city project to smooth out a portion of the Tubbs Hill trail on Lake Coeur d’Alene to make it accessible to wheelchair users.
