Wes Cline of the state Department of Enterprise Services works to get the trunk of a 33-foot noble fir into its base Monday as other state workers hoist the tree by pulling ropes stretched to the fourth floor balconies at the Capitol in Olympia. The tree is so tall that the top two-thirds are decorated before it is lifted into the base. Lighting of the Holiday Kids Tree, sponsored by the Association of Washington Business, is scheduled for Friday evening.
