The round tower at Glendalough in County Wicklow, Ireland, part of a sixth century monastic settlement founded by St. Kevin. The settlement, which includes the ruins of churches, monastic cells, graveyards and a cave known as St. Kevin’s bed, was considered one of Ireland’s greatest centers of learning for over 500 years.
