1910: Facing southwest from North Monroe Street, Spokane shows itself to be a mix of blue-collar and white-collar industries, powered by hydroelectricity and bisected in multiple ways by railroad tracks that brought business and immigrants to the city. Much of the industrial uses were swept away in preparation for Expo ’74.
