4-H South Horse Camp

Thirty nine area youngsters spend 3 days learning to handle and care for their horse during the 4-H South Horse Camp at the Spokane County Fair & Expo Center.

Horsing around and having a ball, 4-H South Horse Campers toss bouncy balls to each other during a drill to desensitize their mounts on the final morning of a 3-day camp at the Spokane County Fair & Expo Center. Some 39 kids participated in reining, western and English Equitation, leather stamping, drill team and dressage. “We want to make great adults out of these kids” says 4-H program coordinator Kate McCloskey.
