Holiday Light Show

Every year, the Coeur d'Alene Resort pulls out 1.5 million lights and erects their Holiday Light Show around the Resort, the boardwalk and at Casco Bay. Tour boats, running Nov. 26 to Jan. 2, take visitors on a journey to see the lights and to visit with Santa at Casco Bay.

As the sun goes down, the lights come on around the Coeur d’Alene Resort marina.

Part of the show for cruise passengers is the Grinch, a character who chases the boat as it leaves the marina, taunting merrymakers. Costumed characters play a large role in the cruise experience in this year’s holiday light show.

Cruise passengers are greeted by a floating light display when the Resort’s cruise boat reaches Casco Bay. Businessman Duane Hagadone has a summer home there and the lights are arranged on the water and along the beach.
