Brette Boesel hit a desperation 3-pointer as the shot clock expired late in overtime and the Bears hit their free throws late to advance to the 1B title game.
Boesel’s 3 gave Brewster a 57-56 lead and Becky Mae Taylor hit three free throws in the final minute to preserve the win.
Boesel had 22 points and nine rebounds and Taylor had 19 points and nine rebounds for the Bears. Chandler Smith added 14 points and 11 boards. The Cougars were led by Amber Jones’ 25 points.
Brewster will take on Reardan in Saturday’s final at 5 p.m. In their last meeting, the Bears beat the Indians 46-41 in the regional tournament last year.
