Garden Photos: August

The Inland Northwest is full of talented gardeners growing everything under the sun. Please visit this gallery regularly to share photos of what's growing in your garden, from your fruit trees and vegetable gardens to your prized rose bushes and everything in between. We want to see your flowers, shrubs and trees. And please pass along your growing tips, what worked and what didn't and what you can't wait to try next year. Help us build a visual tour of the beauty that exists in so many backyards and help us connect neighbors over a shared love of gardening.

NOTE: Before photos show up on the reader photo gallery, they must be approved by an editor. If yours does not show up immediately, fear not. The only likely delay is that an editor has not had a chance to approve new photo submissions yet. Thanks for participating.

  • I can never resist grabbing the camera when the swallowtail butterflies are passing through. The colors of nature are truly wondrous, and many brilliant combinations of color can be found in our own back yard. The swallowtails were abundant a few days ago, August 4th, in Cheney, WA.
