Life 101 in Larry’s Barbershop

From 2006 archive: Walking into Larry’s Afro Barbering and Styling Shop is like being welcomed into an extended family. Besides a great haircut, Larry’s is a place to discuss what most men hold dear to them— sports, politics, religion and women. It is also a place for men in the African-American community to get a little wisdom about life from owner Larry Roseman. “I like the challenge of talking to people,” said Roseman, who says he enjoys seeing the kids in his barber chair grow-up over the years. When you ask someone about Larry Roseman, they all say what a pillar he is in the community and what a difference he has made in the lives of so many kids and young adults.
