He opens up his collection to civic groups and is glad to show people around. See columnist Doug Clark’s story about the Magnuson’s collection in this Sunday’s Spokesman-Review

Hi Eddie, we have known each other over 27 years and I/we consider you and your family great friends. So you finally made the news my friend. I am glad you have finally gotten some exposure. I want everyone to know that I am one of Ed’s friends that always enjoys going into his “MAN CAVE” and look for new things. He always manages to surprise me/us. Ed has a knack of making friends very easily. He is very approachable and when he sees something that interests him, he’s never afraid to ask folks if they want to sell it or donate it. His “MAN CAVE” gives people pleasure and it makes them talk and think of items they had at one time or another and it brings good memories to them. He has a great sense of humor. I know that before I leave his presence he will make me laugh and most of the time it’s at my expense. He loves to play jokes on the unsuspecting, but they are always good, never hurting anyone. I look forward to our visits. I love him and his family. Keep making people HAPPY Eddie.
