Six agencies, represented by the Center for Justice, have filed a lawsuit against political committee Respect Washington to keep an initiative that would reverse Spokane’s policy prohibiting law enforcement from asking about immigration status off the November ballot.
The Spokane County Sheriff’s Office says a man assaulted two deputies Saturday evening when they tried to take him into custody for a mental health hold, and a paramedic helped subdue the man before a third deputy arrived.
