Toronto got the 2-1 win in the Akron stadium to force the penalty kicks, where the Mexicans scored their four shots while Jonathan Osorio and Michael Bradley missed for Toronto.
Jake DeBrusk scored his second goal of the game to break a third-period tie, and the Boston Bruins came from behind to beat the Toronto Maple Leafs in Game 7 – again – winning 7-4 on to advance to the Eastern Conference semifinals.
The Atlanta Hawks and coach Mike Budenholzer have mutually agreed to part ways in a move announced by the team in a three-sentence statement. The decision was not totally unexpected as Budenholzer was granted permission to interview with other teams even though he is under contract with the Hawks for two more seasons.
