Women’s basketball roundup: Rodriguez helps send Utah past Washington State

Danielle Rodriguez made a go-ahead layup with 38 seconds left to help Utah beat Washington State 73-71 in a Pac-12 Conference game Saturday night in Salt Lake City. The win was the Utes’ eighth straight at home. Washington State’s Borislava Hristova missed an open 3-pointer from the corner before the buzzer. Utah (9-3, 1-0) matched its win total from a season ago.
