Key matchups: Gonzaga-San Diego State

Guards Trey Kell and Jeremy Hemsley combined for 48 points in San Diego State’s 69-59 win over San Diego on Friday. Kell was first-team All-Mountain West last season and Hemsley was the conference’s freshman of the year. The Zags counter with Nigel Williams-Goss and Jordan Mathews, who teamed for 30 points in a win over Utah Valley. Both teams have defensive stoppers. Expect GU’s Silas Melson to see time on Kell or Hemsley and SDSU’s Dakarai Allen to guard Williams-Goss or possibly Mathews.
