Bomb Threat Closes Romanian Airport

Compiled From Wire Services

The Bucharest airport was evacuated Tuesday and a Romanian jet made an emergency landing in Poland in response to a series of bomb threats following last week’s fatal crash.

Otopeni International Airport was closed for half an hour and every plane there was searched following a telephoned bomb threat Tuesday, said airport director Constantin Tudose.

A Tarom airlines jet made an emergency landing in Warsaw after the pilot was told an anonymous caller claimed there was a bomb on board.
