Mother Nature Might Show Tourney Golfers Who Is Master

Associated Press

Showers and thunderstorms will threaten the first round of the Master’s golf tournament in Augusta, Ga., today.

A jet stream disturbance over the central gulf coast will lift warm and moist air, resulting in widespread showers and thunderstorms from the coast of Georgia across northern Florida to southern Mississippi. Some of those storms will produce very heavy rain, hail and tornadoes.

Scattered showers will affect southern Florida.
