Maradona Will Try Again

Compiled From Wire Services

Diego Maradona, whose playing days appeared over after failing a drug test at last summer’s World Cup, is planning a comeback in September after his 15-month suspension expires.

Maradona, 34, could see his latest comeback thwarted, however, if found guilty of firing an air rifle at reporters last year. A prosecutor has requested that he serve a four-year prison term.

Maradona has taken 20 days leave as coach of Racing to get over a bout of depression allegedly linked to marital problems.
