Teens Attack Woman At Bus Stop, Police Say

From Staff Reports

Several teenagers harassed a woman and one of them attacked her after she got off a bus Monday night, Spokane police said Friday.

The woman told police she boarded the bus at Howard and Riverside about 10 p.m. and “five or six” males in their teens who had been harassing her at the bus stop also got on.

They left the bus when she got off about 10:30 p.m. at Thor and Hartson, and one of them tried to get her to go home with him, police said.

When she refused, one of them grabbed her and ripped her clothing, police said. She ran north on Thor toward a 7-Eleven store. The group didn’t follow her.

Descriptions were sketchy. They’re described as 14- to 16-year-old black males, police said. The one who attacked the woman is described as about 6 feet tall and 150 pounds.
