The Wenatchee Outdoor Club succumbed last week to what appears to be a growing trend of more people wanting to join recreational groups without assuming any responsibility for doing the organizational work.

Founded five years ago, the club of 130 members dissolved when the elected officers could not find anyone to assume their positions.

The club was active in canoeing, hiking and bicycling. -Rich Landers
