Show Your Support For A Drug-Free Washington

Sharma Shields/Ferris

Drug-free individuals of all ages are encouraged to celebrate “Drug Free Washington Month” with the rest of the community. A rally in Spokane will take place at the Clock Tower in Riverfront Park on April 28 in honor of this special occasion.

If there are any questions, call the Greater Spokane Substance Abuse Council at (509) 623-7528. Be sure to attend and urge Washington’s sobriety!

Something to do: For all you drama buffs, the LC Tigers will be presenting three nights of senior-directed, one-act plays.

These nights of enjoyment will include “Alice in Wonderland,” “Mary of Scotland,” “The Sisters Rosenswieg” and “Chinamen” on April 13-15 at the LC auditorium, 521 E. Fourth Ave. Tickets will be sold for merely $3 (only half the price of a movie).

Call us: Some teens feel as if a burden has been lifted off of their shoulders when their parents file for divorce. Others feel as if their life, altered for the worst, will never be the same.

Our Generation is looking for teenagers who have experienced similar ordeals with their parents’ divorce.

If you would like to share your experience for an upcoming feature about teens affected by divorce, call Cityline at 458-8800 in Spokane or 765-8811 in Coeur d’Alene. Enter category 9894 (you need a touch-tone phone) and leave your message.

You’ll only have 60 seconds, so speak clearly, leaving your name and phone number and whatever else you want to say. If you’d rather write it down, send a letter to Our Generation, Divorce, 999 W. Riverside, Spokane, WA 99210-1615.

Do not call as a joke or we will track you down and tie you to a street lamp completely nude.
