Body Pulled From Spokane River

From Staff And Wire Reports

Divers recovered a man’s body Wednesday evening near Spokane’s T.J. Meenach Bridge, police said.

The body of a white male was pulled out of the water about 7:30 p.m., said Spokane police Lt. Al Odenthal.

Police don’t know the man’s identity. No identification was found when the body was recovered, Odenthal said.

The body was taken to Holy Family Hospital for an autopsy, Odenthal said. Police have no idea how long the body was in the river.

Odenthal refused to disclose whether the body had suffered any obvious wounds.

He said he didn’t know who discovered the body.
