Dot Seeks Input On Highway 291 Options

The state Department of Transportation is hosting an open house tonight for persons interested in alternative travel routes to state Highway 291.

The state has surveyed drivers in south Stevens and north Spokane counties who drive the road. Engineers are analyzing the cost of bypass routes that would divert traffic away from congested Spokane intersections near Indian Trail.

There is no agenda for the open house, but interested persons are invited to stop by from 3 to 7 p.m. at Lakeside High School in Nine Mile Falls at discuss options with transportation planners.
