Portland Company To Open Plant Here
Stack Heat Treaters, a Portlandbased thermal treatment company, announced Wednesday that it will build the first thermal treatment plant in the Inland Northwest.
The new company, Inland Northwest Metallurgical Services Inc., will open July 1 in the Spokane Business Park. The plant will employ about 10 people, including an on-site metallurgist.
The staff, which will work out of a 10,000-square-foot building, will provide vacuum, endothermic and aluminum heat-treating capabilities for machine shops, aluminum foundries, aerospace manufacturers and fabricators.
