Schmarr And Reger Set Pace As Ladies League Season Opens

Local golfers opened the ladies league season last week.

At Painted Hills there were 60 golfers, led by Teri Schmarr with a low gross 46 in A flight.

Sharon Halsey shot 50 in B, Audrey Kreuziger 52 in C, Idell Choate had 55 in D and Sherrel Roshdy shot 59 in no-handicap.

Low net leaders were Cindy Robinson with 35 in A, Carol McLean with 36 in B, Betty Snow with 32 in C and Janice Bergman with 22 in D.

At Valley View, where 35 golfers participated, Tina Marie Reger led A flight with low gross 47 and net 30. Loriene Rankin shot 53 and 26, and in C, Laura Odette and Melba Ferrar tied at 60 and 30.

No-handicap winner was Peg Harshbarger with 47.
