Sew Good Seamstress Offers Dress Alterations

Sew Good, a new seamstress shop, opened April 1 at 417 N. Argonne.

Owner Saili Volyn offers alterations and specializes in making dresses for bridesmaids and flower girls.

Volyn has four different kinds of sewing machines in the shop.

She said her prices are competitive with those offered by dry cleaning stores.

General alterations can be done for the next day.

Carpet cleaning franchise open

Stanley Steemer, a nationally franchised carpet cleaning store, opened March 15 at 11913 E. 22nd.

The store cleans carpets for customers in Spokane and Kootenai counties.

D.J. Krause owns the franchise of Washington state’s second store. The other store is in Seattle.

Stanley Steemer, established in 1947, is one of the largest carpet cleaning businesses in the country.
