Don Monson Out Of Running For Eastern Job

Don Monson said Friday he will not apply for the men’s basketball coaching job at Eastern Washington University.

“I thought and milled through it and decided that I just didn’t want to pursue it any more right now,” Monson said a day after saying he may apply.

Is the 61-year-old former Idaho and Oregon coach finished with coaching?

“Sounds like it, doesn’t it?” Monson said, chuckling.

Monson met more than once with EWU athletic director John Johnson about possibly applying for the position that became available when John Wade was fired last week.
