Information Wanted On Explosive Devices

From Staff And Wire Reports

A $200 reward is being offered by Secret Witness for the solution of a case involving explosive devices.

Spokane County sheriff’s deputies found a suspicious device near a house on the 3400 block of North Edgerton last month.

It was a pipe, capped at both ends, and had been placed in a water valve shut-off hole. The county’s Explosive Disposal Unit detonated the explosive device.

Nearly three weeks later on April 6, deputies investigated another strange device near the same location. This one was found by a 6-year-old boy in a baseball field at Glass and Park. He carried it home.

Disposal experts again destroyed the device.

Residents with information on the production of these devices are asked to call Secret Witness at 327-5111. Witnesses do not have to give their names to be eligible for the cash reward. xxxx
