Jones Captures Pinewild

Compiled From Wire Services

Rosie Jones sank a 12-foot birdie putt on the same hole where she almost blew the tournament moments earlier, beating Dottie Mochrie in sudden death to capture the inaugural Pinewild Women’s Championship.

It was Jones’ sixth LPGA Tour win, but her first since 1991. She finished at 5-under-par 211 after a final-round 69.

Mochrie had an 8-footer for birdie that could have sent the pair back to again play the 487-yard hole. But she missed left and Jones celebrated.
