Spokane Schools To Honor Diversity

The Spokane School District is looking for people who have increased equal opportunities, tolerance and understanding in schools.

The new Equity and Diversity Awards will be given to students, staff members, a student group, an administrator and a community member.

Deadline for nominations is Friday. Winners, chosen by the district’s Affirmative Action Council, will receive awards at a ceremony May 17.
